Monday Fun Day Activity ~ Labor Day Collage

Since it is Labor Day, I thought it would be fun to introduce Logan to different occupations. We are going to make a collage of pictures of people in uniforms and other items associated with occupations! I have a sick baby today so we will not be completing our Monday fun day activity until tomorrow. We have received several magazines with Halloween costumes and pretend play outfits. I thought these would be fun to use for our collage because kids are wearing the uniforms, however we will also be using a few pictures of adults from other magazines. If necessary we may also use clippings from our junk mail or online printables. I would prefer we not create more paper though and simply use what is already available in print (especially since Logan is little). If I were doing this with an older child, there would be more benefit to searching the web. It's never too early to start teaching your kids, so although the baby may not appreciate the activity as much as mom, he will still be learning. We can use the collage for months to come to reinforce the topic!
